The organisers of Intel ISEF, a leading international competition for scientific and technical creativity for schoolchildren, acknowledged the contribution of PrivatBank to support and develop science among children and youths in Ukraine.

Kyiv, 12 April, 2017 - Intel Ukraine Corporation, as part of its preparation for the annual International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) acknowledged PrivatBank as a key strategic partner in promoting education, science and knowledge among children and youths. Such large-scale educational projects as Intel ISEF and PrivatBank’s "JuniorBank" support various educational programs in Ukraine and other countries.

Dmytro Kalyta, director of Intel Ukraine commented:

“It's hard to overestimate the importance of developing talented youths for the welfare of the country. The victories of awardees in scientific and technical competitions "Intel Techno Ukraine" and "Intel Eco Ukraine" at an international level show how much potential Ukrainian youths possess. Cooperation between competitions and the "JuniorBank" project has become a solid tradition for many years. The support of PrivatBank, Ukraine's largest innovative and technological bank, gives us hope for achieving our common goal of creating the necessary conditions for the successful creative and scientific development of talented schoolchildren, because these young scientists and engineers are the high-tech future of our country”.

The international competition Intel ISEF has been held in Ukraine for more than 10 years and is now the world's largest research project among high school children.

The Intel ISEF Final has been held annually in the United States in May since 1950. More than 1,700 young scientists and inventors annually participate in the world finals. The total prize fund is worth more than 3 million dollars. Finalists are selected from throughout the world during the year, according to the results of regional and national competitions.

The jury consists of leading professionals in their fields of science and technology including Nobel prize laureates. The competition is attended by thousands of spectators every year. Besides young finalists and jury members, the competition is attended by delegations from different countries, teachers and organisers, representatives of world media, local youths, and the public.

PrivatBank became a partner of Intel ISEF within its educational program "JuniorBank", which started in Ukraine in 2009. Today JuniorBank unites more than 500,000 schoolchildren. Within the framework of the project PrivatBank not only provides an opportunity for free practical training in economics and finance for children and adolescents, but also supports sports and healthy lifestyle programs for schoolchildren. The national program of financial literacy "JuniorBank" is fundamentally different from usual school programs and courses, using fascinating, interesting material, cartoons, presentations, and games. The unique plastic Junior Card, which is issued with the consent and under the control of parents, gives an opportunity to use the real possibilities of banking services in a safe educational environment.
