In Bohuslav, Kyiv region, the first mobile rehabilitation module in Ukraine with a kitchen for ergotherapist sessions has started operating, so that patients can restore skills important for daily life.

The mobile module, built with the support of PrivatBank, the Mindy Charitable Foundation, Visa - a global leader in the electronic payments industry, and the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, is especially important for rehabilitation after strokes, traumatic brain injuries, upper limb injuries, amputations, and other conditions that reduce independence. The project is being implemented in cooperation with the Coordination Center for Mental Health of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the "Barrier-Free" Public Organization within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program "How are you?" - an initiative of the First Lady Olena Zelenska.

"Rehabilitation in healthcare is actively developing, as the demand for these services is constantly growing. The network of departments is expanding throughout the country - both inpatient and outpatient. I am grateful to everyone who joins in to make this process move faster. When you can recover closer to home, in your community, it is a step towards accessibility, continuity, and higher quality of care. This is equally important for both military and civilians who need quality support in the rehabilitation process. The task defined by the President is that in every community where there is a medical institution, an accessible outpatient rehabilitation department should operate. Already today, 523 medical institutions have agreements with the National Health Service of Ukraine for such services, and over 200,000 Ukrainians used them in 2025. Our goal is that after an injury or illness, every person has a chance for full recovery and return to an active life," said Minister of Health Viktor Liashko.

The mobile module will employ a case manager, psychologist, doctor of physical and rehabilitation medicine, physiotherapist, speech therapist, and other specialists. Patients will be able to receive physical rehabilitation services, gait training with prostheses, prosthetics support, occupational therapy, and speech recovery. Psychological and other assistance will also be available. And thanks to the presence of an ergokitchen, patients will be able to work on restoring household skills, for example, cooking.

Patients of the Bohuslav Central Hospital, on whose territory the module is installed, will be able to use the module's services.

"PrivatBank helps bring rehabilitation services closer to communities, especially those located in remote areas. After all, such modules can be quickly built on sites that do not require long preparation. Thus, quality rehabilitation services become closer to patients who need them. Thanks to similar projects, we are trying to support the state and communities and be a leader in building an accessible environment," says Dmytro Musiienko, a member of the PrivatBank board.

"In the network of mental health support for Ukrainians, which is being built by the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program 'How are you?', initiated by the First Lady Olena Zelenska, there are anchor points - real 'grounded' services where there is an answer to any need or condition. Mobile rehabilitation modules become an anchor point for a specific person, for a community that meets defenders and takes care of all residents. And to our great delight, such spaces in Ukraine are becoming a point of attraction for businesses: we thank the participants of the 'Business without Barriers' community - PrivatBank and Visa for their support," said Oksana Zbitnieva, head of the Coordination Center for Mental Health of the Cabinet of Ministers, head of the "Barrier-Free" Public Organization.

The mobile module is especially valuable in the context of rehabilitating veterans who are recovering from injuries.

"On an area of over 100 square meters, veterans will be able to simultaneously undergo physical rehabilitation, receive psychological support, learn, and participate in training. Another feature of this module is a specialized kitchen for occupational therapy, learning to use prostheses, and regaining confidence in their own abilities in familiar household situations," says Taras Yermakov, co-founder of the Mindy Charitable Foundation.

PrivatBank has for the second time partnered with the "Barrier-Free" Public Organization, the Mindy Charitable Foundation, Visa - a global leader in the electronic payments industry, and the Kyiv Regional Military Administration in the project to develop a network of mobile rehabilitation centers. In total, 8 such mobile rehabilitation modules are already operating in various communities of Ukraine, but this is the first one equipped with a special kitchen for rehabilitation.

"Mobile rehabilitation modules are a way to make quality inclusive care accessible even in small towns. For Visa, this project has special value, as it combines our global experience with the real needs of Ukrainian veterans, female veterans, and civilians affected by the war. Thanks to the partnership of the state, business represented by PrivatBank, and the community, we have created a space where people can receive medical and psychological support, regain strength, and take a step towards an active life," said Natalia Voitovych, Senior Director, Head of Visa's Department for Work with Merchant Acquiring in Eastern and Southeastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Caucasus.

The project for installing a mobile rehabilitation module in Bohuslav is part of a social franchise implemented by the Mindy Charitable Foundation in cooperation with the Coordination Center for Mental Health of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the "Barrier-Free" Public Organization within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program "How are you?" - an initiative of the First Lady Olena Zelenska. The project's implementation became possible thanks to the support of the participants of the "Business without Barriers" community - Visa and PrivatBank, and with the assistance of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration. The Bohuslav District State Administration of the Kyiv Region and the Bohuslav City Council of the Kyiv Region also took part in the cooperation.
