On September 9 in London, within the framework of the EBRD Annual Meeting on the Ukrainian Banking System (3rd Annual EBRD Meeting on Ukrainian Banking System), PrivatBank was awarded 4 awards from the EBRD for supporting SMEs and developing corporate lending. Among them are awards for supporting small businesses in frontline regions and financial support for "women's" businesses:
- Giant of Portfolio Risk-Sharing Award - for the largest loan portfolio for business clients using portfolio loan guarantees from the EBRD.
- Gender Champion Award - for the largest volume of loans for businesses developed by women.
- Frontline Finance Award - for the largest volumes of lending in frontline regions.
- Most Questions Asked Award - an award for activity in communication, preparation, monitoring, and control of agreements.
"We are sincerely grateful to the EBRD for recognizing the role that PrivatBank plays today in the financial support of the Ukrainian economy and for their trust in a difficult time of war challenges. Our stable partnership reflects a shared belief in the future of Ukraine and the power of entrepreneurship as the basis for economic development," commented Larisa Chernyshova, Deputy Chairwoman of the Board of PrivatBank.

The Deputy Chairwoman of the Board noted the efforts of the bank's team, which develops programs to support "women's" businesses and finance such projects throughout Ukraine. Today, more than half of the new entrepreneur accounts opened at the bank are businesses founded by women, who, in the conditions of war, have become a powerful driver of entrepreneurship and economic development.
"Active cooperation with the EBRD enables Ukrainian entrepreneurs and small businesses to gain access to over 1.2 billion euros of financing for business development, and secured financing and grant programs are an important tool for stimulating economic growth and strengthening the resilience of the Ukrainian economy," noted Yevhen Zaigraev, Member of the Board of PrivatBank for Corporate Business and SMEs.
It should be recalled that in July 2025, PrivatBank signed the largest agreement on the Ukrainian financial market with the EBRD, which will allow Ukrainian businesses to receive up to 600 million euros in new loans.
