The first bank branch with enhanced accessibility has been opened in the city of Borodianka, Kyiv region. The opening of this branch took place at the request of the city's residents themselves, as the city continues to recover after the Russian occupation in 2022.

Natalia Havatyuk, Deputy Head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, and Dmytro Musienko, a member of the PrivatBank Management Board, took part in the opening ceremony.

“The opening in Borodianka of the first enhanced accessibility branch, which is also convenient for people with disabilities, clearly shows that Ukraine is not just restoring what was destroyed, but is creating a new quality where the individual and their needs are the focus. A feature of this branch is that it has lowered cash counters, which makes them comfortable for people in wheelchairs. For PrivatBank, this branch is also special because the city's residents themselves approached us with a request to launch it,” noted Dmytro Musienko, a member of the PrivatBank Management Board.

Before the full-scale invasion, the bank was actively represented in the city, but unfortunately, the branch was destroyed by an aerial bomb in 2022. Subsequently, the famous Banksy graffiti appeared on one of the slabs of the destroyed apartment building where the branch was located.

“Today, Borodianka demonstrates what modern reconstruction should be like: not fragmented, but comprehensive and focused on people's needs. We are not just rebuilding destroyed infrastructure; we are simultaneously creating a qualitatively new space with accessible services, convenient logistics, and a barrier-free environment for all residents. The opening of a bank branch with enhanced accessibility guarantees not only the provision of financial services but also the assurance of equal opportunities, dignity, and comfort for everyone. This is an example of recovery that is people-centered and inclusive at every stage,” stated Natalia Havatyuk, Deputy Head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.

Currently, the PrivatBank branch will operate at the new address: 333 Tsentralna Street.

The branch features an accessible entrance group with a lowered entry, tactile maps with Braille, crutch holders, a universal restroom, text duplication of payments at the cash desk for people with hearing impairments, and sign language consultation. In addition, the cash counters are lowered for the comfortable service of people in wheelchairs.

This branch has become PrivatBank's 75th enhanced accessibility branch across the country.
