On July 4, the leadership team of PrivatBank, a long-term partner of the Superhumans Center, participated in a series of landmark events of great significance for the community of Ukrainian military personnel, veterans, and their families. In Odesa, the bank supported both the official launch of the third war trauma rehabilitation center and the now-traditional Superhumans Reunion for the center’s graduates.

"The partnership with Superhumans is an alliance of two innovative leaders. Just as PrivatBank is the undisputed flagship of technological solutions in the banking sector, Superhumans implements state-of-the-art innovations in the rehabilitation of the wounded every day. We are proud to work together, as the synergy of our high technologies, expertise in our respective fields, and most importantly, humanity, is the very foundation that helps our defenders return to a full life as effectively as possible," said Mikael Bjorknert, Chairman of the Board of PrivatBank, during the opening of the center.

The opening of the Odesa center is an important step in expanding the geography of high-quality rehabilitation services. PrivatBank acted as a financial partner for the project, allocating 3,000,000 UAH for its operations as part of a joint fundraising campaign. The special location and climate of Odesa will serve as additional advantages, facilitating the successful physical and mental recovery of patients.

In parallel with the opening of the center, the Superhumans Reunion took place—an event that brought together veterans, their families, and representatives of businesses and companies that systematically support our defenders. This year's meeting gathered guests and served as a space for discussions, rest, and experience exchange. During the event, the PrivatBank team presented their achievements in the sphere of barrier-free access and veteran support, demonstrating how banking services are adapting to the needs of those who defended Ukraine.

"This gathering of our 'graduates' and the opening of the third center in Odesa were made possible thanks to reliable partners. The systemic support we feel from PrivatBank allows us to focus on the main thing: ensuring the best treatment and rehabilitation for those who need it most," commented Olga Rudneva, founder and CEO of the Superhumans Foundation.

A mobile branch was operating on-site, where anyone could receive a consultation or banking service and learn about our special financial literacy educational programs for veterans and their families.

"Our priority is to make financial services as accessible and convenient as possible for those who sacrificed their health for our future. Implementing a barrier-free strategy is not just our duty; it is the daily work of adapting services so that every veteran feels confident and independent," noted Natalia Savchuk, Deputy Chairperson of the Board for Operational Issues.

During the meeting, the PrivatBank team shared with attendees what the bank is currently working on regarding veteran support, both for employees and bank clients:

  • Creating a comprehensive support system for veteran employees, which includes medical rehabilitation, professional psychological support, and assistance with retraining for a future career at the bank.
  • Developing and implementing specialized banking products adapted to the needs of veterans and their families, with an emphasis on accessibility, ease of use, and a high level of financial support.
  • Systemic implementation of a barrier-free strategy, which involves ensuring the physical accessibility of our branches, as well as adapting digital banking services so that every client, regardless of circumstances, has equal access to financial services.
