PrivatBank has launched the Apple Pay in mobile apps and online stores, which is transforming mobile payments with an easy, secure and private way to pay that’s fast and convenient. This simple, convenient, and most secure way of payment is already available when paying for buying cinema tickets for the popular Multiplex theatre chain.

All you need to do in order to pay for purchases via the Multiplex apps is select Apple Pay as the payment method and confirm the payment.

Security and privacy is at the core of Apple Pay. When you use a credit or debit card with Apple Pay, the actual card numbers are not stored on the device, nor on Apple servers. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element on your device. Each transaction is authorized with a one-time unique dynamic security code.

‘We are launching proper one-click online payments with Apple Pay; our customers no longer need to enter card numbers, mobile bank passwords, or any other personal data in order to make a mobile app payment,’ says Sergey Kharitich, a PrivatBank board member. ‘Apple Pay can be integrated to be used with any mobile app or online store that complies with security criteria and technical parameters required for service integration.’

Apple Pay is easy to set up and users will continue to receive all of the rewards and benefits offered by credit and debit cards. In stores, Apple Pay works with iPhone SE, iPhone 6 and later, and Apple Watch. In Ukraine Apple Pay customers will also gain additional bonuses. For instance, using Apple Pay when buying cinema tickets using the Multiplex app will enable PrivatBank customers to get free popcorn as a gift.

‘The Multiplex cinema chain is always looking to improve our service; we actively embrace innovative approaches and are not afraid of experimenting. Our guests have repeatedly requested that we introduce Apple Pay in the Multiplex app. Now thanks to our cooperation with PrivatBank, we’ve been able to make this project a reality. We hope that after we launch it, our existing customer conversion will grow, while a nice offer of free popcorn for an Apple Pay purchase will attract customers who have previously preferred to shop offline or on the website,’ says Maxim Korkodym, head of the digital communications department at the Multiplex chain.

Online shopping in apps and on websites accepting Apple Pay is simple with Touch ID, or just double-click the side button and glance at your iPhone X to authenticate with Face ID. There’s no need to manually fill out lengthy account forms or repeatedly type in shipping and billing information with Apple Pay. When paying for goods and services on the go in apps or Safari, Apple Pay works with iPhone 6 and later, iPhone SE, iPad Pro, iPad (5th Generation), iPad Air 2, and iPad mini 3 and later. You can also use Apple Pay in Safari on any Mac introduced in or after 2012 running macOS Sierra and confirm the payment with iPhone 6 or later or Apple Watch, or with Touch ID on the new MacBook Pro.
