PrivatBank plays a particularly important role in the economy of Ukraine and we are grateful to Ukraine’s American partners for understanding this. It is also encouraging to see their support of our strategic course, in particular concerning the return to the Ukrainian people of funds invested in the stabilization of the bank. This statement was made by PrivatBank CEO Petr Krumphanzl following his meeting with the US Chargé d’Affaires in Ukraine Kristina Kvien.

During the meeting, which took place on June 13, 2019 at the head office of PrivatBank in Dnipro, it was stressed that the successful work of the largest system-forming bank of Ukraine is key to the overall stability of the financial system. Ensuring such stability through good corporate governance, together with the recovery of losses caused to the bank by former owners, is one of Ukraine’s key obligations before Western creditors.
