These initiatives are part of a strategic partnership that PrivatBank is launching with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.

The partnership includes several key areas: the creation of "Spaces of Care," the launch of training on financial literacy and veteran entrepreneurship, the development of veteran sports, and joint work on creating career opportunities for veterans and female veterans in the financial sector.

"These initiatives are part of the bank's systemic transformations in supporting veterans and female veterans. It is important for us that every defender feels: the bank is changing, hearing their needs, and responding to their advice. Systemic changes do not happen in one day, but we are already on this path: we have launched a hotline for female veterans, veterans, and people with disabilities, formed a team that quickly resolves atypical cases, and started changing procedures. We are preparing to launch an inclusive service that will provide services in hospitals. And thanks to cooperation with the Ministry, we will create services that will contribute to the adaptation of veterans to civilian life," said Mikael Bjorknert, Chairman of the Management Board of PrivatBank.

"It is fundamentally important for us that the support for veterans and female veterans is based on responsible partnership and a common understanding of the needs of people who stood up to defend Ukraine and are returning to civilian life. The state, business, and society share a common responsibility for creating real opportunities — in education, employment, developing one's own business, and recovery. This interaction is what forms sustainable solutions and genuine support for veterans, female veterans, and their families," emphasized Nataliia Kalmykova, Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.

As part of the partnership, at least ten "Spaces of Care" will be launched in medical institutions in different regions of Ukraine. The bank will help equip these rooms with furniture and equipment so that veterans and female veterans can receive on-site consultations regarding guarantees and opportunities during their treatment. All this will be available right on the spot, without leaving the hospital.

The Inclusive Service Department of PrivatBank will operate in these spaces. Also providing consultations will be specialists in the support of war veterans and demobilized persons, psychologists, lawyers, case managers, employment specialists, and other professionals according to the individual needs of servicemen and veterans.

Medical institutions will also receive medical equipment for patient treatment within the framework of this project. The equipment will be provided as part of the "Assistance to Medical Institutions and Hospitals" program run by PrivatBank's corporate charity fund.

Currently, there are already 17 such spaces operating in Ukraine, opened by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs jointly with the Ministry of Health and other partners.

The second area of cooperation is the "Private Finance" educational program, which PrivatBank is launching together with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs. It will be available not only to veterans and female veterans themselves but also to their families: children, partners, and parents. During special camps, they will have the opportunity to improve their knowledge of financial literacy, for example, regarding family budget management, learning how to protect themselves from fraud, and how to create or develop their own business.

The cooperation also includes support for veteran sports as one of the most effective tools for physical and psychological rehabilitation. In particular, PrivatBank will act as a strategic partner and sponsor of national sports competitions for veterans and large-scale veteran tournaments.

The bank will also join another project of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs — "Veteran's Career." PrivatBank will actively post available vacancies on the website: work.veteranfund.com.ua, so that veterans and female veterans who want to try their hand at the financial sector can also find out about them through this communication channel.

Details of the areas of cooperation were presented during a meeting with journalists by the Chairman of the Management Board of PrivatBank, Mikael Bjorknert, and the Minister of Veterans Affairs, Nataliia Kalmykova. The signing of the corresponding Memorandum marked the formal start of this large-scale initiative.
