PrivatBank has joined the international initiative for the development of women's entrepreneurship, WE Finance Code, supporting a trend that reflects a global economic shift: women are increasingly taking on the roles of entrepreneurs and managers, particularly during the war. According to PrivatBank data, in 2025, women opened almost twice as many Private Entrepreneur (FOP) accounts as men, and they are increasingly launching their own businesses, leading companies, and occupying managerial positions.

"The development of small and medium-sized businesses, a significant portion of which is currently formed by women, is one of the key factors for Ukraine's economic resilience during the war. This year, 72.5 thousand women opened FOP accounts at PrivatBank, which is almost double the number of accounts opened by men. Of course, the war has an impact on this, but women are more often ready to take responsibility, start, or lead businesses, and we as a bank are creating conditions for them to have the tools to realize their ambitions," noted Yevhen Zaighrayev, PrivatBank Management Board Member for Corporate Business and SME.

Participation in the global initiative involves not only expanding financing programs for women's businesses but also educational opportunities for female entrepreneurs. Specifically, PrivatBank is already cooperating with Vona.Hub and UNFPA within the financial literacy project. During four lectures, 510 women participated. The project is primarily aimed at those who are in difficult life circumstances and need not only knowledge but also additional support.

Women are also part of the audience for educational programs that the bank implements together with the European Business Association, OLX, and Mastercard: business schools such as the "Export School," "Defenders School," and "Start-up School".
